A Very Busy Weekend!

well, the weekend started off with yet another baby shower. this is not a baby i had counted in one of the many as the girl is on doug's side of the family and i really don't know her. we went anyway. the kids did really well for having to be up and out of the house by 9:00, plus the shower was sooooo long. i have never seen so many presents in my life. we left at noon as the kids were getting restless and there was no end in sight. on a fun note, they played a couple of games and one was to guess how many candies were in one of the baby bottles. we didn't stay till the end, but doug's mom did so when she got home from the party, she called to say that latoya had come in second and won a gift bag! she was very excited! here are some pictures with doug's mom:

after the baby shower, we went back home and put the girls down for a nap. after their nap, i got all the kids ready to go to a pig roast at the house of one of our church families. it was a hawaian theme party, and the girls loved their lei's. here are some pictures:

on sunday, we went to church at usual. this sunday i started doing nursery (newborns to age 2). i will be doing it every sunday from now on. i love it, it give me my baby fix. i get to hold them and play with them and then give them back to their parents. :) i also did nursery during the sunday morning service. for some reason we there just isn't a whole lot of volunteer's for nursery or cubbies (2-4 year olds). i don't understand, because i love it and would think that alot of people would love to just come and hold babies and play with them. Anyway, someone called out during the sunday evening service, so my sister and I did cubbies (2-4 yr. olds). we had 8 kids. i took a video of them playing ring around the rosies. it was very cute. you will see jordan and toya in there, because they help and play with the kids whenever i have it. here's the video, and some pictures:

Caleb (little boy i used to babysit) & Molly (Our Pastor's two grandkids). molly is also big sister to Lucas, the little baby that was just born and i just put on my blog. Caleb will be a big brother at the end of september!
