A Very Soon to be Auntie!

well, i may be an auntie sooner than expected! my sister, sarah, who is due with her first baby on aug. 19th had an appt. today. she is currently 4 cm. dialated and the baby's head is very low. she said she is not feeling any contractions, but she must be having them. they stripped her membranes today, and her dr. expects that she may go tonight. we'll see. i had been struggling with whether i was going to go down or not. i keep telling myself it's ok that i won't see the baby till it is 3 mo. old, but now that the time is here, i don't think i can wait, so i think i will fly down one weekend in sept. i'm struggling with that too, because i don't know about leaving my kids for a weekend! i'm gonna miss them! we'll see, i guess if it's meant to be, then things will fall into place. so, i hope to have baby news to post as well as pictures in the next couple of days (we don't know the sex of the baby)!!! so, onto other news. this picture is for laura as these are dresses i bought from her on ebay! they are super cute and i was very happy with everything i got! here is the pic:

next, jordan's last day of swim lessons was today. last night toya and jordan went to grammy's for a sleepover in the tent. about 10:30 pm, grammy called to say that jordan was coughing ALOT and i could hear him over the phone. she brought him home (we only live about 3 min. away) and i gave him a nebulizer treatment. she said he woke up again at 1 am. coughing. i brought him to pre-school as this was his last day and his teacher said that he was coughing all through class. anyway, after his swim lesson, we came home and he started crying because his ear was hurting. i took him down and he has swimmers ear. we got some ear drops and i was told to keep giving him the nebulizer treatments 3 times a day and see if he clears up. we'll see what happens, hopefully he sleeps fine here, cause i am exhausted!

tonight while the kids were playing i kept hearing kaylee saying something about a fireman and daddy. i couldn't cathc completely what she was saying so i told her to come see me and asked her what she had. she was holding one of jordan's play firemen and said "look, i have fireman daddy". my hubby is a volunteer firefighter, so she was saying that this little man was daddy and carrying him around everywhere she went! it was very cute! i got the camera and asked her to say it again for the camera and she did, but it was a little dark so i'm not sure if you can see it or not. it's still cute though! so, here is the video:

last but not least, i kept forgetting to mention that i was given the go ahead to stop kaylee's tuberculosis medicine, INH. we were super excited not to have to give it to her anymore. we went 9 mo. of giving her this medicine before bedtime EVERY night. it really just became part of the routine. for the first couple of night after we were told to dump the rest, i kept feeling like i was forgetting something before i put the girls to bed. anyway, we are glad to be rid of the medicine!! she got to help me pour the rest down the drain too, and she thoroughly enjoyed it!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Yay, baby on the way! Keep us updated. We can't wait to know when he or she comes and what the baby's name is. Hope Sarah is doing okay.

How exciting about your sister! New babies are so special. I would make the trip to see that baby, it will be a special bonding time for you both. I think you will do better than you think on your own. I was a mess about leaving my kids (when I went to Boston) but it was one of the best things I ever did. I came home so refreshed and ready to be home. They did great too!

Thanks for posting that picture for me. I love those dresses and my girls really only wore them one time so they look new. They are absolutely adorable on your girls! Of course the girls are just cuties though!
