Swimming Lessons & Birthday Parties!

well, i must say that swimming lessons went much better than i expected them to go. i of course thought there would be weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth, but there was nothing. jordan just sat and watched and when it was his turn, he did awesome. he did exactly as he was told. he has had three lessons so far. he really does like them. next week will be his last week of lessons. i know he won't be an expert, but he is definitely not so afraid of the water. tonight, he also asked if he could take the training wheels off his bike. he is growing up way too fast. this week has been VERY busy. toya had a birthday party to go to on monday, jordan and the girls had pre-school on tuesday, jordan had swim lessons on tue/wed/thur., and jordan had pre-school today, and toya had another birthday party today! on wed., cassie (my brother in law's sister in law) and her two kids came to meet us at the beach where jordan has his lessons, so all of the kids got to swim for a couple of hours. they really enjoyed it and i think they got along well. here is a slideshow of jordan's swimming lessons, and the other kids playing:

on moday, toya had a birthday party to go to. she was picked up at 9 am. and didn't come home till 5 pm. she went to build-a-bear with 4 other girls. they also got to go to the childrens museum and out to lunch. they really enjoyed themselves. here is a picture of toya with her bear:

today had me finding out something new. i tried to call my sister in n.c. this morning. her area code is 910, so since it is long distance, i have to dial a 1 in front of it. anyway, i dialed, but when i did, i got to 1-91 and it is supposed to be a 0 after, but the 1 stuck, so it read 1-911. i immediately hung up and thought noghting of it and called my sister again. as i was talking to her, my phone beeped a couple of times for call waiting. since she is long distance, i do not answer the other line, i just wait till i'm done and if they leave a message then i call them back. well, we talked for about 25 min. and when i got off the phone with her, i checked my messages. there was one. it was from the sheriff's department asking about the 911 hangup call. i called him and assured him that it was not a 911 call, but simply a key had stuck and i didn't think anything if it because i had dialed 1-911. he took down all of my info and then saud thank you and said i was all set. about 20 min. later, a sheriff came pulling into our yard. he had me tell him the story again and then said that they were worried because they couldn't get a hold of me for 25 min. (the amoutn of time i was talking ot my sister). so, anyway, all that to say this, i guess you can still reach 911 even if you have another number in front of it. ok, lesson learned :)

anyway, today, toya had another birthday party. she was picked up at 2:30 p.m. and didn't get home till 8:30 pm. today they went down to a salon and got their hair fixed as well as manicures and pedicures! after, they went and got pizza from pizza hut. she brought home a goody bag filled with things to do your own manicures. sounds like it was a great party. here are some pictures taken after her day of being pampered. she looked sooo much older (i'm not sure i liked that). anyway, here are the pics:

tomorrow i have NOTHING to do!! wow, it will feel so good. i always do my shopping on fridays, and i will still be doing that, but that's not till later, so i think we will just relax for the beginnig of the day. this whole week has reached 90 everyday! today i think was the hottest at 95, so we went swimming tonight. anyway, that is all for this update! i hope you enjoy the pics. i thought toya looked sooo pretty!
