okay, as you can see, it is very late, so this will be short. being the coward i am, i waited till i knew the cdc office was closed and then called the lady and told her answering machine how upset i was at wasting my time and gas yesterday to go see a specialist that couldn't do anything without charts. i waited all day today and i never got a phone call. i'll wait a couple of days to see if she gets back to me and then if she doesn't, i guess i will have to get up the nerve to call and talk to her.
anyway, we had two rocking chairs at home, but there was one that the girls always fought over, a couple of days ago, i noticed someone giving away one like it on freecycle. i went a picked it up and brought it home, washed it, and it was ready for the girls when they woke up. they loved that there is one for each of them now. they were watching dora this morning (no, they do not watch t.v. all day...usually dora is the only one they actually sit and watch). the girls decided to pull the chairs in front of the t.v. and then caleb (the little boy i watch that is a few months older than the girls) decided to go get the other chair from the livingroom and sit next to them, so i took the opportunity for pictures. i must say that for three to four hours a day, i know what it would be like to have triplets, and i could not do it. of course lots of people say that about twins, but really, i don't think i could. it's not that they are bad, there is just sooo much to do. i really don't know how people do it when they are babies...all the bottles, diapers, no sleep....ugh!! i couldn't even begin to fathom the expense. i know how expensive it is for us and we only have two the same age. diapers are the worst. we buy a box of size 4 diapers that contain 72 diapers EVERY week at $20 a box. of course then there's the detergent to wash all those clothes, for a family of six, i buy a 200 oz. bottle of tide (yes, i do buy tide, especially for kids clothes...best thing for stains) once a week, so another $10 for that. i do about two loads of laundry a day, that's 14 loads of laundry a week. then you have our electricity that runs about $200 a mo. no wonder i am sooo tired all the time, just thinking about it makes me tired...lol. i know, i know, i don't know how we do it either. good thing my hubby is a VERY hard worker and loves his family enough to do it. anyway, enough about that!!!
i also wanted to update for those that are interested, those that know us more than likely know about jordan's speech. we were a little concerned, so we got a referral for a hearing test and to get his speech evaluated. his hearing test came out perfect, which was a releif. hi speech test also came out great. he scored a 98 out of 100. i don't really know how they score them, but that is what i was told. she said the biggest reason we can't understand him is that he gets sooo excited and starts talking too fast and blends his words all together. she said they will not recommend speech as his speech is very age appropriate. she also said he is VERY smart. he would answer the questions before she would even ask him. so, why doesn't he just behave so he doesn't have to get in trouble, he's obviously smart enough to know the concequences. :)
i also wanted to add that i put the twins music montage that i made for their first year on the side, all you have to do is click on the picture and it will open a new window and play. sometimes what you have to do is mute your computer and let it play all the way through and then when it is done, unmute it and press play again, that way it doesn't keep stopping. it is guaranteed to make you cry. also, feel free to leave comments, but don't feel like you have too. okay, i really need to go to bed, so here are the pictures, enjoy!!!
it started out with just kelsey (l) and kaylee(r):
then caleb joined, but wouldn't look at the camera:
then caleb looked at the camera, but the girls wouldn't...oh well, that's toddlers for you :)

Do you have a Costco where you live? You can get more than twice the amount of diapers for about the same cost. The yearly membership more than pays for itself.
Of course, you have to be very disciplined when shopping at Costco or you'll end up mortgaging your home.
